GCB Bioenergy: Bioproducts for a Sustainable Bioeconomy is an international journal publishing original research papers, review articles and commentaries that promote understanding of the interface between biological and environmental sciences and the production of fuels and bioproducts directly from plants, algae and waste.

The highest fee charged by this journal is 2500 USD as Bioenergy has a significant greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation potential, provided that the resources are developed sustainably and that efficient bioenergy systems are used. Certain current systems and key future options including perennial cropping systems, use of biomass residues and wastes and advanced conversion systems are able to deliver 80 to 90% emission reductions compared to the fossil Global Change Biology (GCB) and its sister journal GCB Bioenergy received record high impact ratings from the Institute for Scientific Information last month. Edited by Deputy Director of the Energy Biosciences Institute and IGB faculty member Steve Long, GCB and GCB Bioenergy are two of several journals put out by the IGB.. Impact factors are calculated by the Institute for Scientific GCB Bioenergy (2012), doi: 10.1111/gcbb.12015.
